Neo Blythe “Princess a la mode” lives in a castle deep in the forest. Her emerald green hair reflects the color of beautiful forest surroundings. Her straight bangs emphasize her big round eyes with 4 special eye colors, plum (front), gray (left), moss green (front), and blue (right) all of which matches perfectly with her hair color. Her cream colored eye shadow has a touch of green, bringing out her stunning eye color. When she closes her eyes, her fancy eyelashes casts a delicate shadow on her cheeks. She has 2 eye changing strings to control the opening and closing of her eyelids, making her the first factory manufactured “sleepy eye” Blythe!

The Princess’s favorite roses and musical notes are printed on her dress. This gorgeous print is fit for only the finest anniversary Blythe. Princess a la mode is full of unconditional love living in a castle within a deep green forest. Her hair color is inspired by the palette of the beautiful trees in the forest, the result, a cool bluish green. Her bangs are cut straight horizontally and her big eyes compliment in harmony with her hair color and flesh tones. Her eyes facing straight consist a reddish purple and green, her eyes facing the left is gray and her eyes facing right is blue, all these are special colors that none of the dolls preceding to Princess a la mode never had. Her eyelids are colored in a cream tinted green and her delicate eyelashes lay beautiful shadows on her eyes and cheeks. A special feature on this doll is that there are two eye changing strings! So one to change her eyes and one so you can close her eye lid to enjoy her subtle peaceful emotions.

Her dress is embroidered with roses and birds’ singing voice, all things her majesty loves with all her heart, it is a luxurious design an anniversary doll deserves. Her crinoline skirt was designed in a way to reflect an image of a bird cage, the skirt is also constructed elegantly with intersecting curved lines to form the frame. The CWC limited edition 2007 anniversary doll “Princess a la mode” comes with 2 strings to change her eye color and the movement of her eyelids.

Before attempting to change the eye color you must take the doll out of the package and take off the transparent plastic hair guard covering the dolls head.
If you try changing her eyes while the hair guard is still attached, her eyes will not change.

There are two strings behind Blythe’s head:
+The string with the rose charm: use this string to close her eye lids and change her eye color
+the string with the key charm: use this string to open her eye lids

1. When you want to change the color of the eyes pull on the string with the rose charm, pull until you hear the eye change click.
The click indicates the changing of the eyes. At this point her eyes should be shut. To open her eyes, pull the string with the key charm and watch her eyes magically open!

Warning! If you keep the dolls eye’s closed for a longer duration than normal play time, you could wear out the eye mechanism.
It may lessen the life of the doll and it may cause the eye mechanism to break over time.
Please do not store or display your “Princess a la mode” with closed eyes for a long duration of time.

2. By pulling on key string slowly you can enjoy a range of eye expressions from awake and perky to sleepy!

Warning! If you pull both strings at once you will risk the chance of break the eye changing mechanism.
This may lead to the doll being unable to open her eyes or not being able to change her eye color.
If you pull on the rose string more then once without opening her eyes, that may also lead to damaging the mechanism.

For proper use of the sleepy eye system please follow the directions above.
1) Pull the rose charm string, the eyes will close and pull until you hear the eye changing click.
2) Pull the key charm string alone and her eyes will magically open slower!
